Banff to Lake Louise Transportation
Route 8X Express service departs Banff and travels directly to Lake Louise Village (Samson Mall) and lake shore along the Trans-Canada Highway using fully accessible coaches. These coach vehicles offer seating for up to 52 passengers and are the only low-floor accessible coaches in Canada.
What Parks Canada is doing to help keep passengers safe on shuttles:
Hand-sanitizing stations will be provided.
Shuttles will be fully sanitized daily.
Shuttles will be cleaned throughout the day in accordance with current public health guidance provided by Alberta Health Services.
Capacity on transit and shuttles has been reduced to allow for physical distancing. Capacity limits differ according to the transit or shuttle provider.
Reservations allow greater ability to physically distance and stagger arrival and wait times in the Lake Louise Park and Ride and remove the need for on-site payment.
What shuttle passengers should do to help keep themselves and others safe:
Wear a mask when riding on, or in loading areas for any Parks Canada shuttle (mandatory). If visitors do not have a mask, they will be provided one.
Maintaining physical distancing during loading and unloading.
