Good News – Lake Louise Drive Construction is Complete!
You can now experience the beauty of Lake Louise with smoother roads, better pedestrian pathways, and improved traffic flow thanks to Parks Canada’s completed infrastructure upgrades.

WHAT'S NEW?
In 2024, Parks Canada wrapped up major construction along Lake Louise Drive. The work included paving, upgrades for pedestrian and cyclist safety, and accessibility improvements for the over one million vehicles that travel the area each year. The result? A more efficient and enjoyable experience for all visitors.
While peak season traffic is still heavy (especially in July and August), there are no construction delays expected in 2025.
