Lake Louise Ski Resort Opens Nov 7: Insider Guide and a New Quad Chair
It’s finally here. Lake Louise Ski Resort opens today, marking the start of a season filled with fresh snow, exciting events, and a brand-new lift on the horizon.
The energy in the Bow Valley is unreal. You can hear the click of bindings at sunrise, see the first gondola cars rising through the cold morning air, and feel that unmistakable buzz that only comes once a year: opening day.
Whether you’ve been counting the days since last spring or you’re brand new to the mountain, this season is packed with reasons to visit early and often.
What’s Next: Richardson’s Ridge Is Coming Soon
There’s big news on the horizon for Lake Louise skiers. The resort is building a new area called Richardson’s Ridge, with a high-speed quad expected to open by early spring 2026. Once complete, it will add about 200 acres of beginner and intermediate terrain, with gentle runs, glades, and views of Pika Valley and Mount Temple.
The project follows upgrades like the Pipestone Express Heated Bubble, Summit Quad, and West Bowl, adding even more variety for every ability level.
Why Now’s the Time to Go
